DEFINITION
  • A fabric consisting of C-type shear bands (relatively straight, parallel to the shear zone boundary) and S-planes. S-planes define a shape or mineral foliation that is cut by a C-type shear bands or C-planes. Typically developed in deformed granitoid rocks (modified from Passchier & Trouw, 1996).
