SCOPE NOTE
  • A type of decoration created by cutting the design out of a thin yet durable sheet, such as parchment, cardboard or paper, and dabbing, pouncing, spraying, or rubbing a liquid colour through the openings. Stencilling and colouration can be repeated numerous times, with different colours and in addition to other decorative techniques.
