Observing nuclear reactions to identify or develop products or processes for use in medical, industrial or defence applications, or to support other fields of scientific research. Determining the effects of nuclear weapons, radiation and fallout. Includes the management of reactors and other specialist equipment, and training programs for students and industry researchers.
