  • Negotiating a formal agreement or convention between Australia and one or more other countries. Forming a bilateral partnership or a multilateral alliance which is binding under international law. Amending an existing treaty or withdrawing from a treaty. Includes consultation with stakeholders, the development of declarations that may contribute to the development or interpretation of treaties, and monitoring of treaty, convention or agreement conditions.
