  • Conducting research into water systems, on land and underground. Providing scientific advice on water cycles and flood warning information. Environmental and commercial assessment of projects such as dams and hydropower stations. Determining the impact of changes in land use, stream flow and climate on sediment and nutrient levels, and local ecology. Includes rivers, glaciers, catchment areas and geysers.
