  • Conducting research into the structure and nature of the smallest particles of matter. Analysing the interaction of atoms with electromagnetic radiation, and changes to their chemical identity, weight or behaviour. Observing atomic reactions to identify or develop products or processes for use in medical, industrial or defence applications, or to support other fields of scientific research.
