- A volume of collected research including photographs, contemporary and historic text, sketches, hair and makeup notes, inspiration, memoirs (family albums), fabric and color fabric samples (swatches)swatches. It may be shared with the director, production designer, the costume crew, actors and the hair and makeup artists. Some designers create websites as with research online, available to all collaborators and actors as needed. (UCLA)
