DEFINITION
  • Annual Report on Portfolio Performance informs World Bank Management and Board of Executive Directors on the overall status of the World Bank's portfolio and serves as a key instrument of accountability. Its main objective is to assess the development effectiveness of the Bank's portfolio of ongoing operations. Specifically, it examines the status of ongoing operations in active country portfolios, analyzes patterns and trends in portfolio composition and performance, and describes and assesses portfolio management actions. In addition, it discusses prospects for the portfolio, structural shifts, and the impact of portfolio management actions. This Report is a product of a participatory exercise involving close consultation with the Regions, Networks and the Operations Evaluation Department. Reserved for use by OPCS, SEC and ImageBank.
